The UFO Screensaver ufoscr.zip (267 KB) unzips to ufo.scr (445 KB) and has images of S.I.D., Sky One, a UFO (which gets destroyed by Sky One) and an Interceptor flying across your screen.
Instructions: unzip into the \windows\system directory, then right-click on your desktop (or go to settings > control panel > display), press the screensaver tab, the UFO screensaver should be on the list of screensavers.
For those of you who run Windows 95 or 98 and are fed up with seeing the same old windows screen when starting up or switching off your computers, I've made a few alternatives (and am currently working on some more).
General information :
The Windows 'start up' screen is named 'logo.sys' and should currently be in your main (= root) directory.
The Windows 'closing down' screen is named 'logow.sys' and is in your main Windows directory. (C:\Windows)
The Windows 'switch off your computer' screen is named 'logos.sys' and is located in your main Windows directory. (This is not used in Win 98)
If you cannot find one or other of these files, don't worry - just place the new files where indicated and they will replace the old files even if those are not in evidence.
As far as wallpaper goes : This term always made me laugh but is rather appropriate I suppose. Some viewers (like ACDSee) have a button to switch wallpaper wherever it is located.
If you are wanting to change wallpaper in the ordinary way, place the file in your windows directory and change it by clicking on the configuration icon.
Since the 'Welcome' images can be used as either wallpaper or as start up screen I've included both versions.

How to proceed : Just click on any of the pictures in order for the file to download, save it to your hard disk, then unzip the file into the appropriate directory (as explained above). If you do not have a winzip try the pkunzip.exe program which is available for free on the Net. If you haven't a clue about zip files and such, just send me an email and tell me which of the files you want and I'll send it off to you..... I had to zip the files to be able to get them all up but I can easily send them to you in a normal (i.e. not zipped, ready for use) format.
